DAVANTIS was at Sicur 2018, Spain’s leading trade fair for the security market. The exhibition took place from 20-23 February at IFEMA, in Madrid, and was once again a major get-together for that world’s experts in creating secure spaces.
Our experts were in Hall 10 for the three days of the trade fair to spread the word about DAVANTIS’ experience in the benefits of video analysis in perimeter security. This time we also shared our stand with specialist security equipment company CASMAR.
Security projects
Sicur, a large-scale professional event, was a magnificent international showcase for the integral security sector. This year it attracted a record number of Spanish and international specialist security companies. This excellent participation on the part of the business community, and the wealth of new products, contents and activities at Sicur, were made even more interesting by presentations of the results of research and development courtesy of sector companies. In this regard, DAVANTIS was there to spread the word about its perimeter surveillance and anti-intruder protection systems, sharing its know-how with other leading security solutions companies.
Current challenges
Generally, the trade fair showcased a large variety of products and systems in the defence, fire and emergency fields, as well as workplace security and safety, which were addressed at conferences, debates and workshops. The exhibition included new cloud security, cybersecurity and data protection measures for a connected world, facial recognition for security, leak and information theft prevention. Participants also tackled current themes like the new European Data Protection Regulation, passive security in protection against fires, security and artistic heritage, critical infrastructures and private security.

Taking part in Sicur 2018 was an opportunity for DAVENTIS to position ourselves as video analysis pioneers and experts. As specialists in avant-garde technology, and with more than 30% of our team devoted exclusively to the research, we were able to share more new perimeter security solutions, with in-house technology compatible with all current security systems.
